Rate: $37.20 – $39.69 (L3) per hour including Super (+ Insurance & Workcover, Employed by Agency)
2 to 4 days per week with a child aged 8 years

This family would like: Kind and understanding Educator required to assist a devoted parent after school and evenings, 1 to 4 days a week. Supervising homework, supporting age appropriate activities, prepare dinner, organize night time routine. The successful applicant must be able to offer LOTS OF FLEXIBILITY to support this parent and their diverse work conditions. They must also have an understanding of loss and grief and be able to navigate delicate emotions.

This is the perfect position for a retired Educator or part time Uni student looking to support a loving family with few commitments of their own particularly in the evenings.

Things to note…

– Shifts may run past 8.30pm at short notice.
– May be a requirement to stay over night from time to time at very short notice.
(Suggested to keep a small overnight bag in car and always prepared)
– Possibility of extra days or hours over the school holidays.
– You may not be guaranteed 4 days per week if a shift runs overnight.

You must:
– Have obtained or are working towards your Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR
have a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) and registered with the teaching authority board of the relevant state
– Be an experienced child care worker with at least 3 professional references.
– Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
– Have a car & driver’s licence
– Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
– Have the right to work in Australia (Applicants with 417 & 462 visas need not apply)
