Rate: $38.76 – $41.38 (L3) per hour including Tax and Super (costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are taken care of by the Employer, who will also process your Tax and Super payments on your behalf)
4 days per week with a child aged 8 years

Not Flex with days – 2 to 4 shifts per week
Flex with times – Family need assistance with flex finish time dependent on their work. Saturday shift may vary in hours – start between 8am – 12pm

This family would like: Kind and understanding Educator required to assist a devoted parent after school and evenings, 1 to 4 days a week. Supervising homework, supporting age appropriate activities, prepare dinner, organize night time routine. The successful applicant must be able to offer LOTS OF FLEXABILITY to support this parent and their diverse work conditions. They must also have an understanding of loss and grief and be able to navigate delicate emotions.
This is the perfect position for a retired Educator looking to support a loving family with few commitments of their own.

Things to note regarding this position:

– Shifts may run past 8.30pm at short notice.
– May be a requirement to stay over night from time to time at very short notice.
   (Suggested to keep a small overnight bag in car and always prepared)
– Possibility of extra days or hours over the school holidays.
– You may not be guaranteed 4 days per week if a shift runs overnight.

You must:
– Have obtained or are working towards your Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care OR
have a Bachelor teaching degree (early years or primary) and registered with the teaching authority board of the relevant state
– Be an experienced child care worker with at least 3 professional references.
– Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
– Have a car & driver’s licence
– Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
– Full working rights in Australia (Applicants with 155, 190 & 186 visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay –
417 & 462 visas need not apply)
