Rate: $35.46 – $36.62 (L2) per hour including Tax and Super (costs associated with Insurance & Workcover are taken care of by the Employer, who will also process your Tax and Super payments on your behalf)

We are a lively family seeking a caring, patient, and adventurous nanny to help care for our two energetic boys. Our current nanny is moving on to her next adventure, and we’re excited to find someone who’s ready to join us for ours!

About Us:

Toddler (2 years old): Our toddler is a happy and energetic little one, full of curiosity and excitement for the world around him. He loves to explore the outdoors, play with toys, and follow the bigger kids.

School-Aged Child (7 years old): Our older child is bright, curious, and independent. He loves school, building things, reading, and exploring new ideas.

The Role:

Primary care for the toddler: While the older child is at school during the day, the primary responsibility will be caring for the toddler.

Adventure-loving: We’re looking for someone who enjoys the outdoors and is ready for daily adventures—whether that’s taking walks in the park, playing in the backyard, or discovering new places.

Patience & Understanding: The toddler is still very young, so we’re looking for someone who is patient, kind, and can handle the ups and downs of toddlerhood with calmness and care.

School pick-up and some after-school care for the older child: Once the school day ends, you’ll assist with snacks, playtime, and light homework for the older child.

Ideal Candidate:

Enjoys spending time outdoors and can keep up with two active kids!

Has experience working with toddlers and older children.

Is reliable, energetic, and proactive with daily activities and routines.

Comfortable in a flexible and dynamic family setting.

Has excellent communication skills and is comfortable working with the family to ensure a smooth and fun daily schedule.

We are 100km from Katherine, which has a variety for shops and place to eat out. We are also 4.5 hours drive from Darwin if you need a weekend away! A personal vehicle is preferred but you are able to borrow a family car from time to time.

Work hours are between 8am to 3:30 and we are located a short walk/bike ride from one of the thermal pools!

You must:
– Not essential, but preferable to have or be working towards getting your Certificate in Early Childhood Education & Care or have a relevant higher education

– Be an experienced child care worker with at least 3 professional references.
– Have WWCC, Police Check, CPR and Level 2 First Aid
– Have a car & driver’s licence
– Be willing to commit for at least 12 months
– Full working rights in Australia (Applicants with 155, 190 & 186 visas may be considered depending on conditions and length of remaining stay – 417 & 462 visas need not apply)
