We are so excited to meet with you online for an interview!

As our Educators are expected to:

- Write Educational Planners

- Complete Home Safety Updates

- Write Incident Reports

- Communicate professionally via email and phone calls with the agency and families

We have designed a couple of questions that will allow us to get to know you a little better, and your style of communicating/caring for children. The purpose of these questions are that there are NO right or wrong answers! We simply want to get to know you before we meet!

What do you believe is the most important thing when building trust with a child?(Required)

If you are struggling to manage a behaviour, a family dynamic or a situation that may be unfamiliar or outside your previous experience - what kind of support do you think you could seek?(Required)

Are there any specific behaviours in a child that you feel may potentially cause you stress or that you may find challenging to handle?(Required)

We all know that children can sometimes behave unpredictably, possibly hit or kick or bite, refuse to cooperate, experience heightened emotions and be challenging to care for at times. As your employer, it is crucial for us to ensure that you feel safe, happy and comfortable in your work environment.

If you are finding it hard to get everything done AND keep the children safe and supervised at the same time: How would you approach the situation with the family? And if the family didn’t think it was a concern, what would you do next?(Required)

As an Educator you will need to balance supervision and care of children and completion of documentation.

If you were to arrive at work one day, found that prescription medication had been left on the coffee table within reach of a two-year-old, how would you approach the situation with the family?(Required)

Keeping in mind that as an Educator it is your job to notice hazards in the home environment and have them fixed (broken baby gate, electrical cords exposed, alcohol or poisons in reach of children, small choking hazards etc)

Further to the above question: If the family told you, "We've always done it this way and it's never been a problem," what would you do next?(Required)
