Carolyn and Michael

We would like to nominate Nanny Maria as carer of the year- we have
very busy 1 and 2 year old boys who keep us on our toes at the best of
times- my husband and I work fluctuating rosters and we do not have
family that can help us out for more than a couple of hours every
couple of weeks or so – nanny Maria has not only relieved my fears of
opening up our home to a stranger and leaving our children in another’s
persons’ care, but she has developed that constant base of love and
security for our children every time she comes. Maria has been
accommodating and flexible, always with a sweet, gentle mannerism that
our boys respond to and open their hearts to. I got Maria out of bed at
6:00am one morning because I mixed up work times. My children feel safe
with Maria and I know they are happy. This is the greatest thing any
person could do for me and my husband and is only the backdrop to Maria
who holds extensive knowledge on children, their needs, learning and
growth patterns. I thank Maria for what she has already done for us,
what she has taught me as a mother and how she displays for us the
importance of a sense of family in whatever form that comes, especially
as a primary for little people. For these reasons we would like to vote
for Nanny Maria as Carer of the Year.
